Amalfi Coast Walking Tour

In a few days, I am going on an adventure to the Amalfi Coast region of Italy on what I hope is the first of many trips like this one to different parts of the world.  With some limited international travel under my belt already, I realize that I have not scratched even the surface of the outer layer with respect to experiences to be had.  I have absolutely no hesitation in traveling alone and frankly, welcome it and find it will be refreshing!  It takes me back 20 years ago when I lived in Granada, Spain for school and would travel around by myself to explore.

The trip is a walking tour of the breathtaking Amalfi Coast region and every day brings a new hike or new adventure with some time built in to explore on my own and see an Opera (ticket purchased).  I look forward to taking in the beautiful landscape and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea the most.  I decided to put this blog together to share pictures with my kids, family and friends while I am gone.

My goal is to go on at least one fabulous remote adventure every year, hopefully more, before I get too old and develop dementia.  Symptoms of dementia can be extremely prohibitive in keeping a travel itinerary timely and organized.  Not to mention, when I return home from the wonderful trip, I would remember absolutely nothing of my time there.

Once I started researching trips, it became clear that this will be something of great interest to me as I move into the second half of my life.  To live, to explore, to let go, to see, to taste, to feel, to experience and to love life.  A lofty challenge, but I am ready.  Do it now!
